Alumina ceramic lining tiles, grinding media, precision components and SiC / ZTA parts — pressed, fired and ground in our own plant.
Five product families, one plant. Everything you see here is pressed, fired, ground and inspected in-house, which is why we can quote a non-standard profile in the same document as a catalogue item — and why we can tell you, before you order, whether the tolerance on your drawing is achievable in ceramic.
Start with the duty, not the part number
Wear is not one problem. A chute carrying 300 mm limestone at 2 m/s fails by impact fracture; a slurry pipeline moving 40 µm tailings fails by slow polishing abrasion; a kiln roller at 1,500 °C fails by creep and thermal cycling. The same alumina tile will behave differently in each case. So we organise the range by what the part has to survive:
Wear-Resistant Alumina Linings
Ceramic tiles, bricks and lined pipe that stop abrasive wear in chutes, hoppers, cyclones and slurry lines.
View rangeAlumina Grinding Media
High-density balls, cylpebs and micro beads for ball mills, attritors and bead mills with minimum contamination.
View rangePrecision Ceramic Components
Ground and lapped parts held to ±0.005 mm — shafts, sleeves, nozzles and insulating substrates made to drawing.
View rangeChemical & High-Temperature Ceramics
Crucibles, tubes and porous media that survive thermal cycling, acid attack and kiln temperatures up to 1,700 °C.
View rangeSilicon Carbide & ZTA Ceramics
When alumina is not enough: SiC for extreme abrasion and thermal shock, ZTA where toughness and sharp edges matter.
View rangeHow to choose a grade
Grade selection is the single decision that most affects cost per tonne of material handled. Higher alumina content buys hardness, density and temperature resistance — but it also buys brittleness and price. In most mining, cement and steel applications AL-95 gives the longest life for the money; AL-99 earns its premium where corrosion or temperature is also in play; AL-99.7 is for precision, electronic and vacuum duty.
- Impact plus coarse particles → AL-95, thick tile, studded backing
- Fine abrasive slurry → AL-99, thin section, higher hardness
- Acid or alkali contact → AL-99, low porosity
- Above 1,400 °C continuous → AL-99.7
- Large, cost-driven surface area → AL-92
Tell us the material handled, the particle size, the operating temperature and the equipment type. Our engineering team will name the grade and the thickness, in writing, with the quotation.
Standard or made to drawing — both come from the same plant
Standard sizes are held in stock and ship in 3–5 working days. Non-standard parts go through tooling, and because the tooling belongs to the order we can hold your dimensions indefinitely for repeat supply. Roughly two thirds of our output is made to a customer drawing.
